IlustrationB-Pattern
This assignment was to make a pattern from an assigned word, mine was 'Tuberculosis'
I had many thoughts, dark, grungy, cloudy, bloody, death, containment, but the one that kept repeating itself was thorns. So I set about to create a thorny pattern but somewhere in the mist of this thought another thought took hold, the basic function of what it does. It invades something beautiful and full of life and drains it.

Final Illustration
For this assignment I only had one concept. The design statement was to raise awareness and to get more people involved in the fight against breast cancer.
The statistic's of breast cancer was the concept of my design. One in eight women die from breast cancer. There are seven ribbons along the lower part of the back helmet and one rising above. I lowered the transparency and added a lighter swirl around it to draw the eye there, this represents the eighth one. The face with a tear represents all the women who are no longer here to fight the battle.
Guess it was a little over the heads of the racing scene.
